Three ways in
Shared Access, a Game Pass Seat, or a Store Account of Your Own
Sellers use the word account for all three. What separates them is whether you keep it and whether you can change the password.
| Type | How it behaves |
|---|
| Shared account with games | On a shared Xbox account the seller keeps ownership and you play the licensed title from your own console profile. Listings say rental even where no end date is printed. The password stays with the seller. |
| Game Pass Ultimate seat | Sold for Xbox One and Series X|S consoles only. Sellers open the description by saying this is not a code and not a key, because buyers keep expecting one. |
| Region store account | A fresh Microsoft and Xbox account registered in the USA or Singapore. Credentials are issued automatically, and this is the only group where the account is yours. |
| Card-linked Singapore account | The same store account with a payment method already attached, delivered after you send the order code to the seller in chat. |
Hardware fit
Xbox One, Series X|S and the Xbox 360 Line
Read the compatibility note before the game name. Several sellers repeat it twice in the same description because it catches people out.
What the listings cover
Almost everything on this category is written for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Titles state both, usually as ONE, Series X|S. The Deluxe and Ultimate editions in stock, from Mortal Kombat 1 to Resident Evil Requiem, follow the same pattern.
Where Xbox 360 stops
A group of the rental listings notes that the account is compatible with Xbox 360 and then states, in brackets after each title, that the game itself does not run there. Counter-Strike GO and Mortal Kombat 9 both carry that warning. The account signs in, the game does not launch.
Region and payment
USA and Singapore Store Accounts
A smaller block that has nothing to do with games. These sell the storefront, not a library.
REGIONChosen at checkout
One listing offers USA or Singapore as options on the same product. Credentials arrive automatically once payment clears.
CARDPayment method attached
The card-linked Singapore lines come with a method already on file, which is the reason people buy them. You send the delivered code to the seller and receive the account link back.
SMSPhone confirmed on some
One Singapore listing states it was SMS verified before sale and asks you to sign in at xbox.com, change the password and add your own email in the security section.
AFTERTake ownership properly
On a store account you can and should replace the password and the recovery address. On the shared lines above, doing that ends your access.
What to Check Before Buying Xbox Accounts
Two clocks run on every order here and they disagree by months. Knowing which one the marketplace enforces saves the argument later.
The marketplace window is under half an hour
Fifty two of the fifty three listings carry a replacement window measured in minutes from delivery. One runs twelve hours. Sign in, launch the game once and confirm it loads before that period runs out.
Seller warranties are their own promise
Descriptions on this page advertise three months, twelve months, or cover for the whole subscription term. That text is the seller committing, not the platform. Weigh it against the recent feedback on that listing instead of treating it as a platform term.
Shared means the seller can take it back. On rental and Game Pass listings, your access lasts while the seller leaves the account alone. Sellers who publish detailed launch instructions and answer within minutes are the ones set up to keep it live.
Sign-in
The Link Code Flow on the Console
Nearly every shared listing routes you through the same sequence, and it helps to know before the file arrives.
1Add the seller account to your console
You enter the delivered login and password, or open microsoft.com/link on a phone and type the code your Xbox shows.
2Install the licensed title
The game downloads from the seller account. Sellers describe confirming your sign-in from their side, several of them within about three minutes.
3Switch back to your own profile
The point of the arrangement is that the game then launches from your usual profile, with your saves and your friends list intact.
4Leave the password alone
Changing it locks the seller out of their own account and ends the arrangement for you and for everyone else sharing it.
Fields supplied
What the Delivered File Holds
Delivery is instant across the shelf and arrives as a list. The fields differ by type, not by seller.
Multi-game accounts state their contents in full. The bigger listings name every title on the account, from Red Dead Redemption 2 with six others to the three Resident Evil games sold together. Check that list against what you actually want to play, because you cannot add to it.
Deciding
Matching a Listing to the Way You Play
Four checks in this order will settle almost any listing on the page.
Decide whether you need to own it
If the answer is yes, you are looking at the region store accounts, not the game shelves. Everything else here is access to somebody else account.
Confirm the console
Xbox One and Series X|S are safe across the shelf. If you are on a 360, read the bracketed notes, because most titles are excluded there.
Check online play
Some shared listings state that the title runs online and offline without limits. Others are quiet about it, which usually means offline only. Ask before you pay instead of after.
Plan to test immediately
Given the window length, order when your console is on. If you want a full account you can reset and keep, compare against Steam accounts where handover is the whole product.
